Contest Winners
The Grey Cup Fan Connect Video Contest began back on November 16th, 2009 and asked CFL fans to submit a video entry telling everyone their favorite Grey Cup Memory. We received a number of great submissions over the 2 weeks and, in the end, three videos stood out above the rest. Once the video was submitted, fans were encouraged to promote their entry to their social network to increase their odds of winning. The voting criteria was based on a combination of views and comments. Below is the recent interview with the Grand Prize winner of the Grey Cup Fan Connect Video Contest.

Grey Cup Fan Connect Video Contest – Winning Entries
The following videos were voted as our winners. Thanks again to everyone that participated in our contest. There were many great stories that showed the real passion that CFL fans have for Canada’s Game!!
Grand Prize – 0017 – Dave Quinn – Grey Cup Fan Connect Video Contest
My favorite Grey Cup memory has to be 1997 Grey Cup between Saskatchewan and Toronto. Not because of the outcome of the game but because three weeks earlier my daughter Mel was born in the city of Calgary. At that game I dressed her up in a Saskatchewan Roughriders sleeper and I wore my Riders flag around my shoulders and my Bobby Jurrison head bandana and on that day a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan was born. To this day, 12 years later, a rabid Roughrider fan. Lets Go Riders.
2nd Place – 0037 – Nick Herger – Favorite Grey Cup Memory
My favorite Grey Cup memory would be my first Grey Cup in 1994. It was at BC place. I was 14 years old, it was the battle of Canada versus the USA. BC Lions won at home, the last home team to win a Grey Cup. It was electric. 5000 people. Lou Passaglia kicked a last second field goal to win it with no time on the clock. It doesn’t get any better than that.
3rd Place – Shane Schiller – Grey Cup Fan Connect Video Contest – 0005
A long time ago in a city far far away. Doug Flutie lost his shoe and we howled and we cheered cause they kicked absolute ass that whole game. It was so worth it. Watching it at home with the family it was a good time all around. My favorite Grey Cup was that year and I think It was Toronto we beat that year.
